SPECIALIST LEGAL TRANSLATORS
At CTS, we believe that it takes more than the ability to speak two languages to be a legal translator.
That’s why, as part of our recruitment process, we require our legal translators to demonstrate that they have at least five years of translation experience. In addition, we expect our legal translators to have a degree in translation and a legal qualification / professional experience in a law firm.

MACHINE TRANSLATION SERVICES
CTS offers two levels of machine translation post-editing (MTPE) services for the legal sector, light post-editing (LPE) and full post-editing (FPE).
The objective of LPE is to get a basic understanding of the document, and the edits are only made if the errors affect the meaning or cause confusion. On the other hand, FPE is a slower and more in-depth process. FPE aims to produce a translation that is indistinguishable from human translation.
It is important to note that the engine which powers our machine translations has been built and trained (through continuous self-learning) specifically for law firms. This means that our customised engine can apply the correct legal terminology since it understands the context.
